The Great Laxey Mine Railway is a charming tourist attraction located on the Isle of Man, offering visitors a unique glimpse into the island's mining heritage. Most guests begin their adventure at the Valley Gardens station, built above historic stone bunkers known as the 'teams'. Here, you can enjoy stunning views of the former Washing Floors and the beautifully restored Snaefell Mine waterwheel, Lady Evelyn. While passengers are encouraged to explore both the engine and carriage sheds, we kindly ask that they remain on the designated footpaths and do not cross the railway line for safety. A small souvenir stall is available at the station for those wishing to purchase train tickets or mementoes of their visit.
